Part of the reason why the law of attraction is surging in popularity is due to a book that was published in 2006 called The Secret.
It quickly rose to the bestseller lists garnered attention from all around the world – even from Oprah! Today, The Secret has sold 30 million copies globally.
Although the Law of Attraction is getting lots of attention lately, it’s not exactly a new concept.
In fact, it can be traced back as far as 1937 in a classic book published by Napoleon Hill called Think And Grow Rich, which has sold over 15 million copies.

This article will help you understand the law of attraction better as well as showing you different techniques you can use to make the law of attraction work for you.
What Is The Law Of Attraction?
The law of attraction is a concept that states that what we focus on, we’ll attract into our lives.
Our reality is made up of whatever we’re putting our attention on. Everybody experiences life differently. The person living in the house next to you right now probably has a very different reality than you, even if they have the same things.
So, if you are a negative person that is always pessimistic about everything, then you’re probably not having a great time in life!
On the other hand, if you are always focused on things that are positive, then you’ll experience more positive things in your life.
As an example, let’s say that you are a person who constantly focuses on growing a successful business. The more you focus your intention on building that successful business, eventually, you will take the necessary action to do so such as looking for a mentor, coming up with an action plan, learning from mistakes, etc.
On the other hand, if you decided to start a business but you are having negative thoughts about it such as thinking that it will fail or it’s a bad idea…
The moment you hit the first roadblock you will have an ”I knew it” moment as opposed to learning from it and using that information to further improve your business.
All this may sound may sound superstitious st first. But the more you start to use the law of attraction in your daily life, the more your life will start to change.
Understanding The Law Of Attraction
The law of attraction is just one of many laws that govern our universe. In order to understand the law of attraction better, there is another law you need to understand first which is the law of vibration.
The law of vibration is interconnected to the law of attraction. It is actually the dominant law.
- Law of Vibration (Dominant)
- Law of Attraction (Secondary)
What this essentially means is that the law of vibration is the foundation for the law of attraction despite having less popularity in terms of mainstream attention. It is a law that is important to grasp in order to better understand the law of attraction.
The Law of Vibration
The law of vibration is a law in which it states that the universe is made up of energy that is always moving/vibrating at different frequencies.
According to Quantum Physics which is the study of molecules, atoms, sub-atomic particles (electron, proton, neuron), etc, down at the sub-atomic particle level the only thing there is pure energy, specifically electro-static energy.
Electrostatic energy forms all matter.
Just like everything else, our whole body is made out of energy. Whether it is emotional, physical or mental energy they are always vibrating. However, each emotion causes our bodies to vibrate at a different frequency level.
Think about how your phone transfers messages to another phone. It transfers messages through vibration and in order to transfer a message to a specific phone you need that specific phone number which is the frequency that it is operating in.
So, why is it important to know all this?
Well, since everything is made out of energy and is always vibrating in different frequencies, in order to manifest what we want we essentially want to match our vibration level to the vibration level of the thing that we want.
To better understand this…
Think about how you got to where you are in life right now. Then trace back your steps as to how you got here. Those different levels of steps that you took are basically different levels of vibrations that you operated in to get to where you are right now.
This means that when you are having a hard time attracting what you want in life whether it is wealth, health, etc… it’s probably because you’re vibrating at a different level than where you need to be.
So how do you get to the level of vibration you need to attract what you want? Read on to find out!
The Law Of Attraction And Manifestation
In order to reach a higher vibration level, there are 3 essential parts that you need to be aware of.
- The Conscious Mind
- The Unconscious Mind
- The Body
Let’s take a closer look.
1. Conscious Mind (Imagination)
The conscious mind is basically the intellectual mind. It is the part of the mind used for thinking. It’s also part of the mind we have full control over.
In our conscious mind, we have the ability to choose whatever information we want to accept or reject. For example, if someone decided to call you beautiful, you can either choose to accept that you are beautiful or you can reject it as based on past experiences where you didn’t feel beautiful.
However, most of the time we do not utilize our conscious mind properly. Instead of using its power to choose, we tend to accept whatever it is that our surroundings are telling us.
For example, at some point in your life, you may want to achieve more. Maybe you want to be a boxing champion or start a business in an industry that you are passionate about.
However, if the people around you tell you that it is risky and you should be thankful and satisfied with what you’ve got, you then might decide to believe them instead of believing in yourself, and forego those dreams.
Why is all this important to know?
Because since we have full control of our conscious mind, we also have the ability to imagine whatever we want.
And guess what? Imagination is the first step in manifesting what we want.
Through imagination, we are able to find the level of vibration that we want to operate in. So basically if we want to be wealthy we need to imagine ourselves being wealthy.
In addition to that, we also have to reject information that is unhelpful to our goals.
However, imagination alone is not enough to manifest what we want as through imagination we are only able to see the vibration level we need to operate in order to manifest what we want. This is where the role of the subconscious mind comes in.
2.Subconscious Mind (Belief)
The subconscious mind is known as the emotional mind and it controls the level of vibration that you are operating in. Unlike the conscious mind, you have zero control over the subconscious mind.
In our subconscious mind, we are unable to choose whether to accept or reject the information that we receive. It just gets absorbed without our knowing.
Furthermore, the subconscious mind does not know whether a piece of information is real or just an imagination.
Thus, why you want to reject unnecessary information which is information that has nothing to do with what you want or information that has a negative impact on what you want. As whatever information that you choose to indulge in will eventually turn into the level of vibration that you will end up operating in.
So, once you imagine yourself being in the position that you want and continuously feeding yourself with the necessary information you will start to form desire, passion, and purpose for whatever it is you are trying to achieve. Your vibration level will then be elevated to match the vibration level of the thing/life that you want.
Then your surroundings will start to shift based on your new-found consciousness and you will start to see things differently as you are now operating at a higher vibration level.
For example, have you ever noticed that during economic downturns the majority of people would panic? But for people who constantly imagining themselves being successful businessmen and feeding themselves with the necessary information to achieve that goal they see opportunities everywhere.
So, whatever ideas/imagination you have in your conscious mind will change the level of vibration that you will be operating in. The subconscious mind will match your vibration level to the vibration level of the life/thing that you want.
3.The Body (An Instrument)
As you imagine where you want to be and form positive emotions about it you move up to a higher vibration level. This level will now then be your default vibration level that your mind will be operating in.
The body will then act as an instrument by which it will respond to the desire, passion, and purpose that is formed by your subconscious mind. It will express this desire, passion, and purpose by taking the necessary actions to achieve your goals/wants.
These actions taken will then lead to you manifesting/attracting what you want into the physical world which is basically the results that are gained from the actions taken.
How To Use The Law Of Attraction
1.Deciding What You Want
First and foremost you need to decide what you want in life whether it is being healthier, wealthier, etc. When you are deciding what you want to achieve, ensure that it is specific.
For example, if you want to be wealthier you don’t just say that you want more money. Instead, you want can be specific by stating that you want to earn $5,000,000/month or more.
However, there is a catch when you are setting your goal or deciding on what you want. It is very important that it is not something that you know you can do, you think you can do but it is something that you don’t know how you’re going to do it (aim high).
As with the use of the law of attraction, after reading the previous section you should understand that you don’t need to know how to get to where you want to be because you will get there anyway.
As long as you can see it will be manifested through the body acting as an instrument for the mind.
As mentioned before in order to attract what you want we must first see it with our conscious mind. Visualization techniques will help with seeing what you want as it will activate your creative mind which will help make imagining what you want easier.
Here are 3 visualization techniques which you are able to utilize immediately to manifest what you want:
Mental rehearsal is a practice that has been widely used by athletes where they would mentally rehearse themselves crossing the finishing line, making a game-winning score, etc. Typically you want to do this visualization technique early in the morning and right before you go to bed as it is much more effective in those times.
Steps to do it:
Goal: Let’s assume that your goal is to create wealth ($5,000,000/month).
Step 1: Ensure that you are in a quiet place where no one can disturb or distract you.
Step 2: Ensure that what you visualize is related to your goal.
Step 3: Try to imagine whatever it is that you want in a way that involves your 5 senses.
Step4: Ensure that everything is detailed
As an example, imagine yourself waking up from your bed in your large mansion on a hill and as you wake up and open your eyes you feel the room being cold due to your air conditioner.
You then decide to turn to the bedside table on your left where you pick up the remote for the air conditioner to turn the air conditioner off as you pick it up you want to feel the remote (is it plastic, etc). As you press the off button what kind of sound does the air conditioner make. Does it beep once or beeps 2 times.
…finally, you open your computer and see the amount you make for the month from your digital marketing business, you were jumping with joy or smiling, etc and so on and so forth.
You can visualize however long you want, just ensure that no one is going to disrupt you.
2.Setting Goal-Oriented Affirmation
Affirmations are basically, statements you want to read out loud every day. Similar to mental rehearsals it is best when done early in the morning and right before bed.
Steps in creating a powerful affirmation:
- List down your wants (about 10-20)
- Turn them into goals (ensure that they are big goals)
- Turn those goals into affirmations
Want: I want to be wealthy
Goal: I want to increase my earnings to $5.000.000.month (Start with ”I want”)
Affirmation: I am happily increasing my net worth to $5,000,000 a month or more. I see myself spending them on luxurious items and yet it doesn’t put a dent on my earnings.
Rules when writing the affirmation:
- Start with ”I am” = Send a signal to the subconscious mind that it is in the present.
- Use a present progressive verb (a verb that ends with -ing) = Same reason as rule no.1.
- Add emotional words = Happily (Sends a signal that you enjoy putting in work to achieve what you want).
- Add an additional sentence describing what changed after achieving your goal.
3.Use Vision Boards
Basically, you want to take pictures that represent different goals in different areas of your life.
Let’s say you want a Rolls Royce, then go to the auto dealership and take a picture with a Rolls Royce or maybe a mansion then take a picture with a mansion.
Even better if you have some editing/photoshop skills, then you can simply look for pictures like the cover of Forbes magazine and edit your picture in it. Next, you want to then stick this onto your vision board and your vision board in an area of your house that you spend the most time in.
By doing so, you are sending a signal to your subconscious mind that you have already accomplished what you want.
3.Believe That It Is On Its Way
So, after deciding what you want in life and visualizing them with one of the few techniques mentioned above. You basically want to keep on repeating them every single day.
As it will take time before you will start operating on the vibration level that you want. Continuous repetition will eventually result in the formation of desire and passion which will lead to your mind to operate on a higher vibration.
This then translates to you taking the necessary action naturally to achieve what you want.
Additional Tips That Will Help The Law Of Attraction Work In Your Life
1.Understand How Your Thoughts Determine Your Desire
This is covered in the ”Law of Attraction And Manifestation” section. If you don’t already understand it here is a key takeaway from that section, basically, our behavior and actions are governed by our mind.
If we shift our mind (thoughts, ideas, imagination) then we will shift the vibration that we operate in which also shifts our reality.
2.Use Positive Affirmation
Similar to setting a goal-oriented affirmation, you want to follow the rules that are mentioned earlier in this article. The difference between a goal-oriented affirmation and a positive affirmation lies in the purpose of setting them.
Goal-oriented affirmations serve the purpose of turning what we want into reality, while positive affirmation serves the purpose of empowering yourselves throughout the day. It sets the tone of how we are going to feel throughout the day and when we feel good about ourselves we perform better in whatever task we are going to partake in.
3.Intention Point Shifting
Intention point is basically, the space between the heart and the mind. What it means here is that sometimes when we are making a decision our mind and heart tend to want different things.
So, basically with intention point shifting, the goal here is to harmonize your mind together with your heart which will then better help with manifesting the reality that you want.
To do so you must first understand you intention point. For example, if you are always depressed but desire to be happy then you are probably lacking in positive energy which is causing you to be depressed all the time.
After understanding or finding your intention point, you then want to shift it back to where your mind is in harmony with your heart. A technique to shift your intention point back is by taking action on that desire.
So if you are always depressed but desire to be happy, then you want to take action on that desire by taking steps to make your self happier. For example, practicing positive affirmations, listening to music, taking a walk, exercise, whatever it is that will increase your positive energy and make you happy.
4.Using A Focus Wheel
The focus wheel is a great way of making the law of attraction work better in your life. The utilization of focus wheels makes the law of attraction work better because it helps in reducing the resistance you have over the things that you want.
For example, you may feel like you are not good enough to achieve your goals or maybe you are afraid of the responsibilities that comes after achieving your goals. Whatever it may be the use of focus wheels will help in reducing all those resistance.
How to create a focus wheel?
Step 1: Take a piece of paper and write what you want in the middle then circle it.
Step 2: Draw 12 diagonal lines around the circle, then in the spaces between the lines write down statements that will enforce your belief as to why you are able to achieve the want that is being circled in the middle of the paper.
5.Use A Law Of Attraction Journal
There is plenty of ways to set up a law of attraction journal. The journaling technique that will be covered in this section is something that is referred to as scripting or visualizing with a journal.
Just as its name suggests, what you are going to do here is to visualize through writing. For example, if you want a car, then you want to write a detailed script on what it feels like after obtaining it.
Did you call your mom after obtaining the car? Did you cry? Did you just stand still because you couldn’t believe it?
Note that you want to write a script of how you feel after obtaining it and not a script on how to get it.
6.Living ”As If”
Acting ”As If” is basically living your life as if you already have whatever it is that you want. This technique of acting ”As If” is very useful as it helps with speeding up the manifestation process.
For example, if what you want is to lose weight then no problem eating healthy regularly without any problems. So to act as if you are already fit, you want to eat healthy regularly as if you’ve been doing it for years.
Firstly, the law of attraction states that whatever we focus on or think will manifest into our reality. Secondly, the law of attraction is secondary to the law of vibration which states that everything is made out of energy and is always vibrating at different frequency levels.
So, in order to manifest what we want, we need to elevate our vibration level to match the vibration level of the thing/life that we want.
Then we also took a look into the roles our mind and body play in manifesting what we want. By which the mind will determine the level of vibration we will be operating in which will cause the body to behave accordingly.
Lastly, we took a look at techniques that will help you increase you vibration level to the level that you want and also additional tools that you can use to speed up the manifestation process.
